The empirical atomic radius is determined experimentally from measurements of bond lengths in crystalline structures, corrected for bond type. Values are given in picometres (pm), typically with an accuracy of about 5 pm.
Data available for 88 of 118 elements. Highest: Cesium (260 pm). Lowest: Hydrogen (25 pm).
